WARRANTY – Terms and Conditions

Your warranty period starts from when you’ve received your goods. Star Livings Australia will not be liable for freight or shipping expenses related to warranty claims. Goods will be returned or exchanged at our warehouse only if/when approved by Star Livings Australia. The warranty shall be considered void if (subject to Australian Consumer Law): 

  1. It is normal wear and tear. See information on Product Care   
  2. Product is used for Commercial, contract, rental trade, institutional, or other non-residential use.  
  3. Damage caused by improper cleaning, negligence, treatment of the product with chemicals, exposure of the goods to direct sunlight, extreme heat, bright lights, or similar conditions resulting in discoloration, or otherwise caused by your acts and/or omissions.  
  4. Damage by corrosive materials, such as acids or solvents, dyes, inks, paints, and human or animal bodily fluids.  
  5. Damage resulting from abnormal or improper use, abuse, or acts of God.  
  6. If the furniture is not used correctly for the purpose intended, e.g., sitting on sofa arms or standing/swinging on chairs.  
  7. Damage incurred during handling and transportation of the product
  8. Floor samples or sales made on an ‘as-is’ basis will have a limited warranty, and the price, age, and condition of the product will be taken into consideration.
  9. Repairs to a product are made or attempted by a service provider, other than one approved by Star Livings Australia.
  10. The warranty against defects is not transferrable. It is limited to the original purchaser specified in the original Sales Order.

  • 2 years of limited warranty: cost for labour service, parts, and repair service (Paid by Customer).

WARRANTY GUIDELINE

  • Warranty begins from the date of the delivery completion.   
  • Warranty service only applies to genuine Star Livings Australia products purchased from our website. (Keep your original tax invoice or warranty card as your best proof of purchase. This warranty is non-transferable.)
  • If the massage product has a latent defect or needs to be repaired, please contact our customer service to assist you.  ([email protected])

WARRANTY COVERAGE

  • Defects under normal use and care within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced (depending on product type, where applicable).
  • Warranty will apply only to domestic/private use, not for commercial/public use.
  • Warranty will cover electric, mechanical, electrical parts, and labour.
  • Warranty will not cover cosmetic wear and tear by long-time regular use.
  • Warranty will not cover any defects caused by accident, misuse or improper installation, operation, maintenance or unauthorised alteration or incorrect electrical supply, power surges or loss of parts or attempted repair by persons other than those authorised by Star Livings Australia. We provide instructional manuals where possible to ensure customers assemble and use their massage products appropriately.
  • Warranty will not cover any damages caused by natural disasters, including general disasters.

INSTALLATION AND RE-INSTALLATION

  • The service fee may be charged for subsequent assemble service requests.
  • All assemble processes should only be performed by mechanics that authorized by Star Livings Australia.

OTHER REGULATIONS

  • We do not offer refunds if you simply “change your mind” or have used the product.
  • The product must be in original condition with no missing parts including packaging, manual booklet, and accessories (if any)
  • Star Livings Australia reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this Warranty Policy without further notice.
  • After the warranty expiration date, all service requests will be charged in accordance with Star Livings Australia internal regulations.

PAYMENT

All credit and debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted and Star Livings Australia will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy sets out how Star Livings Australia manages, collects, uses and processes your personal data. Protecting our customers and your data is of the utmost importance to Star Livings Australia. We are committed to properly managing, protecting and processing your personal data in accordance with this privacy policy and the Privacy Act. When you submit information to us, sign up as a customer online for a quote or to purchase you agree and consent to the Star Livings Australia (including any Related Corporations and business units) privacy policy. This privacy policy should be read in conjunction with Star Livings Australia Terms and Conditions. Star Livings Australia may change this policy from time to time by updating this page.

RETURNS & COLLECTIONS

We reserve the right to charge an administration fee, of 30% of the purchase total for a cancelled order after a payment is taken. Please note that after the dispatch of your goods we will not refund for a change of mind or incorrect choice and no refund or exchange will be entered into.

PRODUCT VARIATION

Any timber, marble or natural feature products are sold with the understanding that each piece will be unique with a variation of colour, mineral lines, knots and gum veins. Natural timbers and marbles are beautiful, unique and varied. Consistency is only achieved in man-made products. Should you receive the incorrect product entirely (deemed incorrect by our Customer Care team) this must be notified to us at the time of collection or delivery and rejected (not taken home or left in your home by delivery team) – at this time our team will arrange a replacement as soon as possible. Our furniture collections may be subject to a variance of up to 5% of that of the dimensions indicated.

Online Orders

In order to ensure your online purchase and subsequent delivery runs as smoothly as possible we ask that you take the time to read the terms and conditions of sale when checking out online carefully. It is your responsibility to review at point of online checkout to ensure that all details are correct; this must include model, size, colour, price, quantity and any other special requirements. 

Should you have an issue with your product and need to report this matter to Star Livings Australia we request that you contact [email protected] immediately. Our products are sold for domestic use only. Our site is only intended for use by people resident in Australia. At this time we do not accept international orders through our website. 

General

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice and your access to this website may be restricted or terminated at any time without notice. In the event that your access to this website is restricted or terminated, these Terms & Conditions still apply.  

Delivery

You must examine all goods prior to signing the acceptance of the product in good condition at the point of delivery. Any damages must be reported to the delivery/courier driver and recorded on any delivery sheet. Star Livings Australia is not responsible for any damages that may occur, resulting from you not checking goods direct from the Warehouse. If no-one is at home on the arranged delivery day at the time of the drivers’ arrival, a second delivery fee will apply. Any reports of damages or faults upon delivery receipt, must be made strictly within 24 hours of arrival, in writing and accompanied by images of the product itself, consignment labels and the entirety of the internal and external packaging for consideration.

Courier Deliveries: Most courier services do not provide an option to book a specific delivery day or time and surcharges may apply if rescheduling is required. It is important to note these will most likely be delivered to your door by a single serviceman. Unpacking, rubbish removal and assembly is NOT included in this service. All parcels are shipped requiring a customer signature upon receipt. You may elect to mark your parcel for ‘Authority to Leave’ with the courier, however it is important to note any goods under these consignments will no longer be considered the responsibility of Star Livings Australia or the consigned courier should they be lost, stolen or damaged upon arrival. 

Standard and Premium deliveries: We cannot give you exact delivery times on the delivery day; however we will endeavour to get there as close as possible to the 4-5 hour time window we quote the day before your delivery. If you wish to change the delivery day, please ensure that you notify us at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery day. If you are purchasing large items (size) of furniture, please ensure that you know whether the items will permit the safe delivery of purchased furniture into your home. 

Star Livings Australia is not responsible for any furniture items that do not fit into your vehicle, house, apartment, your lift leading to your property, stairways, corridors or doorways, and will not grant a refund or exchange if this occurs.

Please take special care when placing your delivery address onto your order, as incorrect addresses mean you may lose your courier order. If you require any address change, we do require the front and back of your photo identification in order to make any changes. 

Please take special care when loading your mobile phone number onto your order, as incorrect mobile phone numbers may mean you miss your delivery/pick up SMS notification and Standard/Premium delivery drivers contacting you upon approach. 

Our delivery driver/s will take the utmost care and responsibility when delivering your product into your home, however we are not responsible when there is a real risk that the goods and or your premises will be damaged due to poor accessibility. Our delivery driver/s will inform you on arrival should they decide this to be the case. The goods may then be left at the safest agreed point or you may decide to sign an indemnity (if offered) and waiver for any damage to product or premises as a result of our drivers being requested by you to attempt such a delivery.

Consumer Guarantees

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the consumer laws in Australia. You are entitled to have the item replaced or refunded for a major failure of the product. In addition, if there is a minor fault with the product you are entitled to have the product repaired within a reasonable time or have the goods replaced at the election of Star Livings Australia. 

Safety

Star Livings Australia encourages customers to consider safe use and installation of all furniture, to suit your individual circumstances. It is important to consider the placement of any furniture or homewares items, particularly in relation to your personal circumstance as well as those of others living in or visiting your home, such as children or the elderly. 

Toppling furniture is a safety risk. Some products have wall anchors or fixings provided within the packaging, in these cases, they MUST be fixed to the wall for safe use. For more information and government recommendations
